Description: Circular saw markings on a piece of 2” x 4” from the lumber yard triggered my vision to populate the wood with painted figures (similar to those in traditional Eskimo art). Using an old rusted gouge from the flea market, I carved out the neck and rounded the head of this shaman wand. The proto-typical hands were laboriously cut with a box cutter from shim-like wood pieces used to separate planks in the plumber yard.
