Description:  While searching the woods for sketching subjects, I happened upon the rotted base of an ancient tree; primal sculpture. Beguiled, I focused upon the marvelous root structure and the rotted out hollow. It wasn’t until the drawing finished itself that I saw an elongated, slender figure in the heart of the hollow.
